QNAP has moved from AMD Ryzen 5 3700X processor to the higher-end AMD Ryzen 7700/Ryzen Pro 7745. it means a faster clock speeds, which can significantly impact overall system performance.
TS-1277XU-RP vs TS-1277AXU-RP : DDR5 RAM
Instead of DDR4 RAM, the new series has DDR5 RAM, which is faster and more advanced. There is support for ECC ram also.
TS-1277XU-RP vs TS-1277AXU-RP : M.2 NVMe Slots
Apart from the 12 x 2.5"/3.5" SATA HDDs , the new model includes 2 x M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen5 slots. You can use SSD caching with the new model easily.

GigaLAN ports have moved to 2.5 GbE ports , and there are 2 x 10GbE BASE-T ports. However the SFP+ ports are missing in the new model
